Robynne

Robynne Raye, Modern Dog Design

Since co-founding Modern Dog Design Co. in 1987, Robynne Raye has continued to do work for entertainment and retail companies – both local and national – and counts poster, packaging and identity projects as some of her favorite work. Past clients include Coca-Cola, Adobe Systems Inc., Blue Q, Olive Green Dog Products, Shout! Factory and K2 Snowboards. Robynne has received recognition from every major design organization in the U.S. Her posters are represented in the permanent archives of the Louvre, the Library of Congress, Hong Kong Heritage Museum, Bibliotheque Nationale de France, Museum Fur Kunst und Gewerbe, the Warsaw National Museum, and the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum among others. For more than 16 years she has lectured and taught workshops, both nationally and internationally. Currently, she teaches design courses at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. In 2008, Modern Dog: 20 Years of Poster Art was published by Chronicle Books.

This will be Robynne’s second year as a judge.

mc2Michael Cross, Cross Films

Michael is an award winning film Director and Editor based in Seattle. His background is in film production, having studied at the USC School of Cinema-Television in Los Angeles. Recently Michael partners with his wife Deirdre and their feline to make art with Cooper the Photographer Cat. Cooper is a 4-year-old American Shorthair cat with an eye for stunning photography. Once a week he wears a lightweight digital camera fastened to his collar, which snaps a new photo every 2 minutes. Currently Cooper’s photography is exhibiting at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Chicago.

We are honored that this will be Michael’s first year as a judge.
