FAQ
What are the rules?
The wackier, the better! And you must use lights. It’s not a contest for how many lights you use, but how creative you get with them. You can use plenty of other materials as well. But lights must be represented. And the display must be visible from the street.
Can my whole block join in and do one display?
Yes! This is a great opportunity for you to get to know your neighbors and work together toward a common goal: the pursuit of awesome prizes and serious bragging rights!
Do I have to own my house to participate?
No. Renters are people too!
I am a business owner who has donated a prize. Can I still enter?
Yes!
I am a business owner who doesn’t live in the area. Can I decorate my business?
Yes! Our Wacktastic Judges will determine the wackiest store display.
What are the judging categories?
Whatever you dream up — the wackier the better. Check out some of last year’s displays for inspiration.
How is the loot divided up?
There will be lots of winners and lots of prizes given out, but obviously, the Grand Prize Winner (Most Wacktastic) will take home the most awesomest stuff.
What can I win?
If your house is the grand prize winner, you’ll receive a super prize package consisting of some of the gifts we received worth $500.
Good Luck! This is going to be a super fun way to make Greenwood Phinney bright and super sparkly for the holidays!

the whole street of 81st between dayton and fremont is great. The tall house one block over on 82nd is full of creative home made decorations that are very clever. It is worth a look. The fireplace even glows.

It`s good to see 531n82nd this year in contest…my kids and I always appreciate Halloween every year with the spinning head…this year they have put up some of the coolest handmade decorations like the old Tin soldier with a recycled milk jug for a head and a super tall angel with a purex bottle for a head…they always seem to invent and mix crafty and wacktastik surprises old and new…my daughter pointed out even the Grinch is peering down on the whole thing from upstairs window…merry christmas and keep up the creativeness!
