Wacktastic Holiday Light Contest
The Wacktastic Contest 2009 grew from its humble start in 2008. Then, we just judged residences. Now there are 2 contests: one, a residence lighting display contest voted on by the People of Greenwood; two, a judged contest of store displays.
RESIDENCE WACKTASTIC LIGHT DISPLAYS
Folks can enter the contest at the website and be placed on a map. Then, during the week of Dec. 10th thru 17th, anybody can vote online (once per person) for their favorite display and the top ten will be awarded prizes from esteemed Greenwood-Phinney businesses. The prizes and a slide show of all entries will be presented at the Wacktastic Awards Party on Sunday 12.20.09 at The Greenwood Collective.
Boundaries from Aurora Ave to 8th Ave between 105th and 65th.
STORE WACKTASTIC LIGHT DISPLAYS
Stores let their Wacky Flag Fly and win a free advertising package. Our local celebrity judges will travel from 65th to 105th and Greenwood and choose their top two favorite Retail Light Displays that are The Most Wacktastic. Prizes will be awarded at the Wacktastic Awards Party.
There is also going to be food donation bins at local pubs for the Greenwood Food Bank.
